Plan for Success - The 888 Method

The 888 Method explained

Whenever we feel overworked and overwhelmed, there is always someone with the reminder,
‘we all have the same 24 hours in a day, and if she can do it, then so can you.‘
Even though that statement isn’t at all useful and often leaves us feeling worse, there is actually a way to find balance, manage your time, and make use of those 24 hours—the 888 Method!

The 888 Method is a newly popularised way to manage time, boost productivity, and find a work-life balance. With this method you can ignore what others are doing; instead, use your 24 hours to eat, sleep, work, relax, and focus on yourself.

Here is the plan for a successful 24hrs - The 888 Method!

  • 8hrs - Sleeping

  • 8hrs - Working

  • 8hrs - You

8 Hours Sleeping

Sleep is important for our mental and physical well-being, so if you can fit 8 hours of sleep into your schedule, then do it and do not feel bad about it. Taking time to rest in the evening heals our body and mind, lowers stress levels, improves mood, and boosts energy and productivity during the day. To show up as your best self, you need to feel your best, and a full night of rest is the first step towards a successful day.

8 Hours Working

Working can be anything from studying to working at your job or working towards your career goals. This time is about making money, investing in your future, and achieving your goals. Of course, there may be days when you have to work longer or stay up to finish a paper, but for this method to be effective, you must find a balance between work and rest.

That Girl Tip: Whatever your money-making method, start budgeting, saving, or investing your money. Of course, life can get in the way, and you deserve to enjoy the money you have worked hard to earn, but budgeting and building your finances are extremely beneficial for emergencies and future financial security.

8 Hours Just for You

These final 8 hours are just for you! You should do anything that makes you feel good and restores your mental, physical, and emotional well-being.

  • enjoy your hobbies

  • read

  • bake

  • draw

  • work out

  • yoga

  • spend time with loved ones

  • movie night

  • go out for dinner

  • drinks with the girls

  • learn something new

  • self-care

  • therapy

The possibilities are endless, but it is important that you put yourself first and do whatever brings you peace and joy.

If you can’t dedicate a full 8 hours to fulfilling your personal needs, that’s okay, but always schedule time for yourself—all work and no play isn’t healthy and can cause major burnout.
So, whether it’s a few hours a day, in the morning, or at night, find time to slow down and take care of yourself.
